A milestone Guitar
This guitar was built by Michael Edgeworth in 2024, in collaboration with Paul Fischer and Rik Middleton. The instrument is a short scale guitar, 610mm. It has a strong, sweet tone, excellent projection and impeccable craftsmanship.
A Guitar Making Competition
In 2023 Michael Edgeworth was a finalist in a guitar making competition in Granada. Michael is constantly going to such lengths to gather feedback and information in order to improve his instruments.
Finding one’s Sound
Having devoted his whole twenties to the question, “What is an excellent classical guitar and how do I build one?”, Michael Edgeworth built the below guitar, a prototype for the Praemordia model. The guitar was then put to the test an West Dean Classical Guitar Festival in a showcase of 10 other luthiers. This guitar represents a big step in the refinement of Michael Edgeworth’s guitar and bracing design.
